Manchester: Manager Louis van Gaal calls Ryan Giggs and support to be his successor at Manchester United when his tenure at Old Trafford is over.
“When Van Gaal era ended, he [Giggs] is a person [to replace me],” said Van Gaal in the Daily Telegraph, as reported by Goal, Monday (09/29/2014).
Speaking at a special dinner dedicated to Giggs who also attended by Sir Alex Ferguson, Van Gaal was impressed with what he saw from assistant since the start of cooperation.
“I’ve often seen a trainee and I think Ryan Giggs is a trainee, but he was not a trainee, he was an exception. I am very happy with him because he has shown that he can communicate with the group in front of him, “said Van Gaal.
“And I have seen that he could explain the problems in the practice session. And he can say it in a different way, which is a miracle because not a lot of ex-players who can do that. More than that, Ryan, in my view, you are a man who is very good and for me it is the most important thing.
Giggs, who has assumed the role of interim manager following the sacking of experienced David Moyes on last season, is now entrusted with the post of assistant manager to assist Van Gaal last summer.
